Havre Middle School students display talents Thursday night
Havre Middle School is going to celebrate fine arts with the HMS Talent Show 2002 at 7 p.m. Thursday in the HMS assembly room. This is Havre Middle School's fourth annual talent show.
Students will participate in four categories: art, vocal, instrumental and variety.
The master of ceremonies will be Carrie Flatau, Havre High School junior, who is active in band, choir, Hi-Liters, jazz band, basketball and student government, and is an accomplished pianist.
Local community members will serve as judges. Glen Heilman, Becky Ross and Char Sticka will judge the art. Glen Heilman, Dee Heltne, Kirt Miller, Ann Remus and Lorenne Rundquist will judge vocal, instrumental and variety. Prizes for outstanding performances will be awarded in each of the four categories.
Havre Middle School's Spotlighters, Treble-Aires and Troubadours also will perform.
Darla Cook and Lorna Stremcha organized the show.
"Come and support the arts in our schools," Cook said. "Come and see the displays of student artwork. Come listen to the sounds of music. Come and see the bands and dancers. Don't miss it."
The show is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to help purchase special lights and spotlights for future shows.
