Dennis Clyde Fox, 61, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2002, after a short pneumonia-related illness.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chinook.
Dennis was born Aug. 11, 1940, in Walla Walla, Wash., to Herschel
and Alice (Sargent) Fox. He attended grade school through high school in Havre. Dennis and his parents farmed north of Havre for many years.
Dennis married Betty Dunn in Havre in 1959. They divorced after 36 years of marriage.
In 1976, Dennis moved his family to Grass Range, where they ranched until 1997. After retiring from the ranch, he moved to Chinook, where he worked as a livestock broker. He recently retired and made his home in Laurel.
Dennis loved literature and writing. He had a wonderful talent for creating short stories and poems.
His grandsons were an enormous source of pride and joy in his life. They will miss their grandpa greatly. Dennis enjoyed outdoor work, his church and his family.
He is survived by his parents, Herschel and Alice Fox of Havre; son, Wade Fox of Bozeman; daughter, Teresa Fox Kreiter of Billings; sister, Karen Fox of Juneau, Alaska; three grandsons; numerous cousin, aunts and friends, and an uncle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a person's choice.
