Homebuyer education class set for May 2

A home buyer education class will be offered in Havre on May 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. Class materials will be supplied. The class will be held at the Holiday Village Shopping Center community room.

Home buyer financial assistance is available for downpayment and closing costs for households at or below 80 percent of median income. Montana Board of Housing low interest mortgage money also is available to participants. Participating home buyers are required to complete home buyer education training. Financial assistance is geared toward first-time home buyers and single-parent households. However, home buyer training is beneficial for anyone wanting to learn more about homeownership.
