CAROLYN MURPHY, Obituary

Carolyn Marie Murphy, 58, owner/operator of the Ranger Bar in Dupuyer, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at a Missoula hospital due to complications from a head injury.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Thursday at the Holland and Bonine Chapel with Pastor Jack Mattingly officiating. Luncheon to follow

Memorial service will be at the Havre VFW.

Carolyn was born April 8, 1944, at Havre to Peter and Dorothy (Nelson) Woronik. She attended schools at Havre. Carolyn graduated from Havre High School. On Dec. 29, 1962, Carolyn married Richard Henderson. To this union, two children were born. The couple lived in Havre and Libby. The couple later divorced.

On Feb. 2, 1969, Carolyn married John "Jack" Murphy. To this union, two children were born. They lived in the Bear Paw Mountains, south of Chinook until 1988, when they moved to Dupuyer.

Her hobbies included animals, especially riding horses. She loved being outdoors, in the mountains, and with her grandchildren. She was an active leader in the 4-H program.

She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Woronik, and sister, Dorothy Ann Chamberlain.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy (Nelson) Woronik of Havre; husband, John "Jack" Murphy of Dupuyer; sons, Timothy Murphy of Hawaii, Reece Murphy of Missoula; daughters, Sandra Friede of Havre; Pamela Parsons of Chinook; sister, Patricia Childs of Havre; brother, Pete "Jr." Woronik of Loma; seven grandchildren.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home in Havre.
