Pony tennis dominates Great Falls High, CMR and Lewistown

The Havre High School tennis team faced numerous Class AA schools at the two-day Helena Invitational Thursday and Friday, and then finished up the weekend with a strong showing in Great Falls.

Five out of the six Havre boys placed in Helena, with Jeremy Heninger and Seth Maristuen taking first in No. 1 boys doubles, and Marc Mariani and Ian Spencer placing second in No. 2 boys doubles. In the No. 3 boys singles, senior Andrew McLain placed third.

"I was real surprised," Havre coach Sam Dierman said. "I knew this would be great for Jeremy and Seth in doubles, but I didn't think everyone else...
