Bears Paw Run results announced

The following are the results from the Bears Paw Run held Saturday:

Keaton Welch won the one-mile run with a time of 8 minutes 51 seconds. Welch, age 9, raced past six other people for the win.

In the 3.1 mile run, Tyler Viste won the men's division with a time of 20 minutes 37 seconds. Kari Fillius won the women's division in 21 minutes 20 seconds. Cade Barsotti won the youth division in 24 minutes 34 seconds. Barsotti, age 9, placed fifth overall in the 3.1 mile run. Twenty-nine total participants ran the 3.1 miles.

Nine people braved the 6.2 mile run with Janet Erickson coming in first. Erickson's time was 42 minutes 50 seconds. In first for the men was Dave Johnson in 43 minutes 32 seconds.

Race director Pam Wilson said 45 total participated in the event and that she was very pleased with the turnout.

"We had an excellent turnout for not having it for a year," she said.
