PSC hearings set for Hi-Line

The Public Service Commission will be on the Hi-Line in May to hold public hearings about NorthWestern Energy's proposed portfolio of energy contracts, which will determine the cost of electricity for its customers.

The PSC must decide whether NorthWestern acted prudently when it picked the contracts. The rates NorthWestern will charge when the contracts go into effect on July 1 will depend on what contracts the PSC approves for the portfolio.
