Tracksters take to Cut Bank for meet

The Havre High track team continues its travels this weekend, trekking to Cut Bank for an invitational track meet.

The meet could still possibly be canceled, though, if the weather continues to be uncooperative. Snow showers were reported this morning in Cut Bank.

The track team is coming off a busy weekend last weekend where the teams competed in three different meets. The boys were in Butte, the girls in Great Falls and the junior varsity team was at the Rocky Boy meet in Havre.

In Butte, Jeff Sprinkle captured a berth in the Pony Hall of Fame with his time from the 3200-meter race, coach John Ita said.

Following the Cut Bank invitational, the Ponies will travel to Glasgow Tuesday for the Top 10 meet. For some, the Cut Bank meet is their last chance to qualify for the Top 10 meet. Ita said quite a few members of his team have already qualified for the meet.
