Hi-Line U-11 team splits two games

Havre hosted soccer action Saturday with teams coming from Whitefish and Butte to take on Havre's Hi-Line United U-11 soccer team.

The day started with the Whitefish Sting taking on the Hi-Line United. Havre faced a strong defense and was down 1-0 at the half. Whitefish came on strong in the second half and won 4-0.

Paul Turner defended the goal for Havre.

Havre's second game was against the Butte Marauders. Havre started strong with Emily Hilliard scoring the first goal at 14 minutes into the first half. C.J. Evans followed up with a goal just before the first half ended, giving Havre a 2-0 lead.

The second half opened up with Havre scoring two minutes into the period, and scored four goals in the period, making the final score Havre 6, Butte 0.

Goals were scored by Shane Kemmer, Jordan Van Voast, Jake Koneski and Michael Hickman.

Mason Shepperd was goalkeeper for the shutout.

Hi-Line United U-11 will be traveling to Whitehall next weekend for games against Whitehall and Missoula.
