Griz coach coming to Havre

The University of Montana head football coach Joe Glenn and others from the Grizzlie's athletic program will be in Havre Tuesday as a part of a statewide "Caravan of Champions."

A banquet is scheduled in the Olympic Room of the Duck inn with a no-host cocktail hour beginning at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7. Tickets are $25 per adult and $8 per child. The adult meal will include steak and prawns with chicken strips for the children.

Glenn will be the featured speaker for the event. He will bring the 2001 Division I-AA national championship football trophy to the event. The event will also include highlight films and a tribute to Glenn.

Door prizes will be awarded, including championship apparel. A silent auction will include Tim Joyner's national championship print, among other items.

Jim O'Day, director of development for intercollegiate athletics, Greg Sunberg, assistant director of marketing for intercollegiate athletics, Mike Breske, assistant head football coach and defensive coordinator, Rob Norris, assistant men's basketball coach, Annette Rocheleau, assistant women's basketball coach, Tom Raunig, Havre native and head track coach, and Harry Clark, assistant track coach.

Tickets will be available at the door.
