Water district advises boiling

On top of the other problems with the drought, the water being supplied to western Hill County might need some additional safety measures.

Kim Bunton, manager of the Hill County Water District, said today that people in the district might want to boil their water before drinking it or using it for cooking.

"It's not really mandatory, just to be on the safe side," he said.

The water district, which serves communities and people in Hill County west of the Big Sandy Creek bridge outside of Havre, draws the water it uses from Fresno Reservoir. The district announced the voluntary boiling advisory...
