High school soccer team places second at state tournament

 


The Hi-Line United high-school age soccer team traveled to the state soccer tournament in Stevensville last weekend.

The Hi-Line team played four games and finished in second place.

In the championship game, the Hi-Line team played Florence and lost 4-3 in a shootout. The two teams were tied, 2-2, at the end of regulation play.

To advance to the championship game, the Hi-Line team defeated Whitehall, 3-2, in a shootout. The two teams were also tied, 2-2, at the end of regulation play.

In other games Saturday, the Hi-Line team defeated Dillon, 7-0, before tying with Whitehall, 1-1.
