Wake services began this morning at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and services will be 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at the RJ Bar Quarter Horse Ranch at Rocky Boy.
Robert attended schools in Canada and left for South Dakota at age 15 and worked as an EMT and school bus driver and later was married and divorced.
He married Sandra Stump in July 1987 at Rocky Boy. He lived all his married life in Rocky Boy. He attended Stone Child College at Rocky Boy for a year. He worked for the Rocky Boy Tribal Police Department from 1997 until his death in the line of duty.
He played and enjoyed baseball, hockey, powwows and powwow singing, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, horseshoes, mechanical work, playing cards, and just being outside.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra of Rocky Boy; sons, Chadd Taylor and Joesiah Taylor, both of Rocky Boy, David Taylor, Jeremy Taylor and Robert James Taylor, all of Sisseton, S.D .; daughters, Kristin Taylor of Rocky Boy and stepdaughter, Nicole Stump of Rocky Boy; an adopted sister, Debbie St. Pierre; mother, Monica Wanbdiska of Sioux Valley, Manitoba, Canada.
