Comets fall to Williston at Jamboree

The Havre Comets won their first game of the 2002 Baseball Jamboree Thursday night and were forced to turn around Friday morning and play a team from Williston, N.D.

After traveling for more than six hours and 310 miles, Williston didn't appear to be road weary.

Three runs in the third inning carried Williston to a 6-1 victory over the young Comets team. Williston had four hits in the inning.

Havre was held to just four hits in seven innings by the Williston pitcher. Comets pitcher Brandon Morse was touched up for seven hits, two walks, two hit batters and credited with giving up all six runs,...
