DOUGLAS HYKE, Obituary

Douglas D. Hyke, 73, of Havre, an Army veteran and retired school teacher, died of natural causes on Tuesday, June 11, 2002, in his home.

At his request, there will be no memorial or funeral service. His burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Mandan, N.D., in the Veterans' Cemetery.

Doug was born May 9, 1929, to Paul and Barbara (Baer) Hyke at Bowman, N.D. He was an outstanding athlete in all sports, leading his high school football and basketball teams to their conference and district championships.
