ELEANOR ANDERSON, Obituary

Eleanor Mary Anderson, 93, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at a Havre hospital of natural causes.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday June 26, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Havre with Pastor John Chapman officiating. Burial is to follow at the Highland Cemetery.

Fellowship to follow burial at the First Baptist Church.

Eleanor was born September 4, 1908 to Allan and Nellie (Bingham) Boynton at Crandon, Wis. Her father moved the family to Havre with his job. She was educated in Wisconsin and Havre. She graduated from Havre High School. Eleanor met Palmer C. Anderson in Havre. On March 12, 1932, they were married in the First Baptist Church in Havre. To this union, five children were born. Eleanor worked for The Havre Daily News, The Bell Telephone Company, and the Havre School Hot Lunch Program.

Eleanor was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Woman's Missionary Society. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Palmer C. Anderson in 1994; daughters, Shirley Keller, Patsy Lee and Barbara Cate; brother, Louis Boynton; and sisters, Maude Jeager and Alta Storm.

She is survived in death by her sister, Ardeth Berglund of Portland, Ore .; special sister-in-law, Tillie McIntyre of Havre; children, Evon (Carson) Corrigan of Havre, and Leslie "Les" (Bernie) Anderson of Havre; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Memorials in Eleanor's honor may be made to the First Baptist Church, 625 Fourth Avenue, Havre, MT 59501.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
