EDWIN CARLSTAD, Obituary

CHESTER Edwin Arne "Ed" Carlstad, 72, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at a Chester hospital after a 5-year battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chester. Burial of ashes with military rites will follow at the Chester Cemetery.

Ed was born March 31, 1930, Columbus, N.D., to Arne Karlstad and Edna Arneson. Arne died before Ed was born and Edna married Arne's brother Otto two years later.
