ELIZABETH LYNN, Obituary

Elizabeth S. Lynn, 86, retired business manager, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at her residence in Havre.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family memorial scheduled at a later time.

Elizabeth was born June 17, 1916, to Carl and Charlotte (Lamos)

Sheen in Highmore, S.D. She was raised in South Dakota and graduated from Chamberlan High School in 1932. She then attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D., and received her bachelors of science in education in 1936.

She married Eldon A. Lynn on Jan. 30, 1937. The couple lived in western Washington, and moved to Rapid City, S.D., in 1960. They retired in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., in 1968. In later years Elizabeth resided in Tempe, Ariz., and spent her summers in Havre.

Elizabeth was a 50-year plus member of P.E.O. Her chapter was BU in Arizona. She enjoyed knitting, baking and music. She participated in the church choir and loved the violin, trumpet and piano.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon Lynn in 1979.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Lynn) and husband Dr. Robert McCroskey of Havre and Peggy Lynn of Orlando, Fla.; son, Jim Lynn of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren, Natalie Lynn of Chandler, Ariz., Darren Lynn of Flagstaff, Ariz., Rob McCroskey of Batavia, Ill., Kim Tripp of Billings, and Nicole Lynn and Tara Lynn, both of Tempe, Ariz.; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials in Elizabeth's honor may be made to Montana State University-Northern, College of Education, Elizabeth S. Lynn Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 7751, Havre, MT 59501.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
