ALICE WILLIAMS, Obituary

KREMLIN Alice Loraine (Smith) Williams, 72, retired from the Tyrrel Answering Service as a telephone operator, died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at a Whitefish hospital of natural causes.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Chapel with Pastor Eddie Fallo officiating. Burial is to follow funeral at Highland

Cemetery. Fellowship is to follow burial at the First Baptist Church in Gildford.

Alice was born Nov. 14, 1929, to Everett Ronald and Flossie (Peterson) Smith at Milton Junction, Wis. She was educated at Janesville, Wis., and graduated from Janesville High School.

On Jan. 1, 1949, Alice married Joy Messamore at Tampa, Fla. To this union, six children were born. Joy died on May 2, 1976.

On July 27, 1982, Alice married Carl L. Williams in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. She moved to Kremlin for her job opportunity.

Alice enjoyed attending services at the First Baptist Church in Gildford. She enjoyed making many creative craft items for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Ronald in 1988 and Flossie (Peterson) Smith in 1967; brothers, Everett Smith and Abram Smith; sister, Nina Schaffert; first husband, Joy Messamore in 1976.

Survivors include her second husband, Carl L. Williams of Kremlin; brothers, Rodney Smith of Washington, and Robert Smith of Oregon; sister Juanita of Iowa; sons Steve of British Columbia, Canada, and Paul and Keith, both of Texas; daughters, Laura of California, Mo of Washington, and Dawn, of Indiana; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren

Memorials in Alice's honor may be made to a person's choice.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
