DIRK ADAMS, Obituary

HELENA Dirk Wellington Adams, 30, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002.

Memorial services were to be conducted from Hagler-Anderson Chapel at 10 a.m. today with the Rev. James A. Connor officiating. Lewis and Clark

Veterans

Council were to provide military honors at Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison.

Dirk was born Sept. 24, 1971, in Sikeston, Mo., to Blakeney and Peggy (Hammond) Adams.

Upon graduation from Cahokio High School in St. Louis, Mo., in 1989, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and honorably served his country for seven years.

Upon discharge, he moved to Missoula and met Kathryn Colleen "KayCee" Spinler. He married her on May 13, 2002, in Helena. On April 27, 2001, the light of his life, his daughter Jessica was born.

Dirk successfully built his own long-haul trucking company with the help and support of his wife. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his beautiful daughter.

He is survived by his wife, KayCee; daughter, Jessica; father Blake and his wife Jan; mother, Peggy; grandmother, Martha; sisters, Sabrina and Christina; brother Blake; stepmother, Karen; stepsister, Amanda; stepbrother, Scott; sister-in-law, June; brothers-in-law, Mark and Scott; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
