COLUMBIA FALLS Harold B. "Chris" Christianson, 82, died Saturday, July 13, 2002, in his sleep at his son's home in Columbia Falls.

Viewing will be Tuesday at Columbia Falls Mortuary. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls with a celebration of Harold's

life at Dennis and Jeanne Christianson's home afterwards.

Harold was born in Havre to Hartvig and Louise Christianson on July 31, 1919. He was raised and attended school in Havre. Harold served in World War II from 1941 to 44, when he returned home.

He loved get-togethers with his family and friends, playing guitar and singing old country tunes. He spent many years creating beautiful wooden furniture and yard ornaments that he shared with his family. Harold had a quick wit and sense of humor that made it easy for him to make people feel welcome and loved.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Doris in 1997.

Survivors include his sister, Ruth; brother, Carl; son, Dennis (Jeanne); daughters, Wanda (Gale) Barton and Deb Jones; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kalispell.
