ROBERT ROWIN, Obituary

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Robert R. Rowin, 79, Grand Junction, Colo., died at his home July 3, 2002, due to complications of liver disease.

A service was held July 8 at Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in Grand Junction.

Robert was born Dec. 9, 1922, to Leonard and Albertina Nelson Rowin in Havre. He spent his childhood and attended school in Havre. He served in Normandy and France with the U.S. Army during World War II and received a good conduct medal.

Robert married Mary Dinardi on March 13, 1946, in Havre. They lived in Havre, Washington state and California before moving to Grand Junction in 1971. She preceded him in death on March 26, 1993.

Robert was retired from building maintenance. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching football and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Robert H., Jack and Rodger Rowin, all of Grand Junction; daughters, Vicki Gray and Mary Terry, both of Grand Junction; brothers, Clint Rowin of California and Howard Rowin of Montana; sisters, Dolla Lugo and Bonnie Nichols of Montana and Donna May Phiefer of California; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Martin Mortuary.
