Havre downs Dillon for third

Havre 13-year-olds placed third at the State Babe Ruth Tournament held Wednesday through Saturday in Whitehall.

Havre was 3-1 in pool play. In Saturday's semi-finals, Havre lost to Butte 13-0. The team then came back in the consolation game to beat Dillon 5-2 and secure the third-place finish.

Tony Wirtzberger pitched the winning game for Havre.

Scores for Havre's games were:

Wednesday: Havre 9, Whitehall 8.

Thursday: Havre 15, Helena 9.

Friday: Havre 5, Glendive 11; Havre 6, Mission Valley 1.

Saturday: Havre 0, Butte 13; Havre 5, Dillon 2.

Members are the 13-year-old all-stars team are Will Schilling, Tanner Abdallah, Mike Erickson, Bryan Heath, Logan Reichelt, Chase Hadford, Chris Brandt, Scott Vigliotti, Tony Wirtzberger, Marshall Cartwright and Ryan Callahan. Coaches are Tony Vigliotti, Bill Wirtzberger and Travis Abdallah.
