FRANCINE CARRIER, Obituary

ROCKY BOY Francine Grace Harris Carrier, 35, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at a Great Falls hospital from kidney failure.

Wake services began Thursday evening with the funeral service scheduled at 11 a.m. today, both at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with Father Pete Guthneck officiating.

Francine was born Feb. 10, 1967, to James and Amy (Writingbird) Harris in Lander, Wyo. She moved to Rocky Boy when she was a young girl and was raised by her maternal gradmother, Edith Writingbird. She attended schools in Rocky Boy.

She married Loren George Carrier in 1999 at Pocatello, Idaho. They made their home in Pocatello and moved to Great Falls a year ago for work. Francine became ill and then lived with her mother.

Francine enjoyed cooking. She loved children and was a very good helper. She liked to spend time with her family. She was a very kind-hearted lady and a traditional person.

Francine was preceded in death by her father, Raymond James Harris; her maternal grandmother, Edith Writingbird, her paternal grandparents; and her aunts, Carolyn Grey and Margaret Weaving.

She is survived by her husband, Loran George Carrier of Browning; her mother, Amy Writingbird of Rocky Boy; her daughters, Darnelle and Heather C-Hair of Ethete, Wyo .; sons, Sun C-Hair and Michael Head Carrier of Ethete, Wyo .; brothers, Melvin Writingbird of Rocky Boy, Carlos Harris of Lapawi, Idaho, and Martin Harris of Rocky Boy; sisters, Martinia Harris of San Antonio, Texas, and Desiree Writingbird of Rocky Boy; godmother, Lorna Chief Goes Out; aunts, Ruby Stump of Rocky Boy, Wilberta Lee of Great Falls and Nadine Morsette of Rocky Boy; uncles, Ken Writingbird and Duncan Standingrock, both of Rocky Boy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
