Havre Festival Days in the works

The 22nd celebration of Havre Festival Days will kick off Sept. 20 with a ribbon cutting of the new Town Square park.

The celebration will include a pitchfork fondue and entertainment.

The 48-hour softball tournament will begin Sept. 20, as will the Friends of the Library book sale and the Hi-Line Quilt Guild show.

Events on Sept. 21 will include the Kiwanis Pancake Feed at the Vets Club. The parade, including a pet and doll section, will begin at 10 a.m. The parade will have several Montana units of Shriners, who will be in Havre for their state meeting and to honor their potentate, Hank Tweeten of Havre.

The Festival Days Craft Show will begin at 11 a.m. at the Hill County Fairgrounds and will run through Sunday. Downtown will host the Great Ball Drop, organized by the Chamber Ambassadors.

Other events that weekend will include a concert at the Bigger Better Barn, festival run/walk, and the punt, pass and kick competition.
