MARION WILSON, Obituary

GILDFORD Marion W. Wilson, former Havre area resident, died July 12, 2002.

A memorial service will be held at the Gildford Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Marion was born at the family home southwest of Kremlin on Dec. 6, 1918, to Francis Marion Wilson and Mabel Swinney Wilson. He attended public schools in Kremlin and Havre and Northern Montana College. In February 1937 he married Jeanne Arnold. They moved to Missoula where Marion completed his college degree at Montana State University.

Several jobs and four children later, they returned to Gildford in 1944 and lived and farmed in the Havre and Kremlin area until 1972.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark; daughters, Mary Jeanne Wilson and Sue (Rasjidah) Hickey; brother, L. Albert Wilson, and brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Stella Wilson; niece, Ruth Wilson; nephew, David Wilson; and his wife, Jo, and niece, Susan Hoekman Livesay.

Marion is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his daughters, Pam Pak of Houston, Texas, and Cindy Fleming of Helena; sister, Naomi Hoekman; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
