The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet in Great Falls Aug. 7-8 and kick off its visit Wednesday with a tour of FWP's Giant Springs complex at 4600 Giant Springs Road. The commission also will visit Ulm Pishkun State Park and a shooting range north of Great Falls.
On Thursday, the commission will meet at FWP Region 4 Headquarters, also at 4600 Giant Springs Road. At the meeting, the commission will set final deer, elk, antelope and fall turkey hunting quotas for the upcoming season; final 2002-2003 furbearer seasons and quotas; final webless migratory bird regulations; and tentative waterfowl seasons and closures.
In addition, the commission will deal with a number of lands related items, and hear informational presentations on Montana's paddlefish fishery and Montana's forthcoming sage grouse conservation plan.
