SCC preregistration dates set

Stone Child College will begin preregistration at its new campus on Aug. 19-23 for continuing students in good standing.

Orientation for new students will be held from 9 .m. to noon on Aug. 29. Registration will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 29 and from 9 .m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 30.

Classes will begin on Sept. 3. The last day to add a class will be Sept. 16.

Applications may be obtained from the Student Services Office or from the Office of Registrar/Admissions, Stone Child College, RR 1 Box 1082, Box Elder, MT 59521-9796. You may also call (406) 395-4875, ext. 222 or 223 to have the material mailed. A $10 nonrefundable admission fee will be assessed.

Students can complete and submit a free application for federal student aid to the financial aid officer. Income tax forms or income verification is required. For more information contact Joe LaFromboise at (406) 395-4875, ext. 220 or 221.

All incoming students are required to take the COMPASS test before registering for courses. Contact Melody Henry for appointments at (406) 395-4875, ext. 217. Allow one to two hours for testing.

All students will be required to take a placement test before enrolling in math or English Courses.

Students born after Dec. 31, 1956, must provide proof of immunization against measles and rubella that was administered on or after their first birthday and after Dec. 31, 1967. Such evidence must be presented before students will be permitted to register for classes.
