Library News

What the Hi-Line has and Great Falls is just getting is an online library catalog that can be accessed from home computers. The Hi-Line Library Catalog can be accessed at either of the following web addresses:

http://www.mtha.mt.lib.org (click on Hi-line Library Catalog)

montanalibraries.org (click on MLN Gateway)

Both of these addresses will give access to the library catalogs, a magazine database (InFoTrac), and an index to Montana magazines.

The Hi-line Library Catalog includes the resources of the Havre-Hill County Library, Havre Public Schools libraries, Big Sandy Branch Library, Blaine County Library, Harlem Public Library and Liberty County Library. Your library card from any of these libraries will give you full access to placing holds, searching and checking your patron information, such as holds, due dates and items checked out.

When you are placing a hold, please choose "selected copy" so the book will be available at the nearest library.

As a seeker of information you are encouraged to use the Web to access your library's information and visit your local libraries soon.

By cooperating in a group purchase, the 15 libraries in the Pathfinder Federation recently added ALLDATA, an online motor manuals product. This online motor manual service is available through the local public library.

Are you wondering what that funny sound is under the hood? Did you need a wiring diagram for your old Chevy? Are the brakes squeaking on your old Ford? If you are needing this type of information, go to your local public library and ask about this online motor manual service.

For more information, contact the staff at the Havre-Hill County Library. located at 402 Third St. in Havre, or phone 265-2123 or e-mail [email protected].
