RUTH TUCK, Obituary

CASCADE/HAVRE Ruth Ernestine "Ernie" Tuck, 76, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, in Great Falls after a long bout with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in Havre with pastor Brad Ulgenes officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Ruth was born March 12, 1926, to George and Evelyn Habeger in Havre. She attended schools in Turner, Fort Peck and Havre.

She married Emden Granell on Nov. 8, 1944. They were divorced in 1964.

She married Gayle W. Tuck on April 23, 1966.

She was employed as a cashier at Buttrey's Department Store during and after high school. She later worked for Fleet Wholesale in Havre before moving to Great Falls to manage the district office for Federal Crop Insurance for Cascade, Teton and Pondera counties.

The Tucks moved to Rozwell, N.M., where she worked at the Air Force base. They returned to Great Falls, where she was employed by Malmstrom AFB until 1989. They moved to Cascade, where she owned and operated a fabric store before retirement. They moved to the Missouri River Canyon out of Cascade in 1991 and lived there since.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Richard Granell and Steve Granell of Havre; daughters, Patty Greytak of Havre, Sherry Leicht of Somers and Laura Bennett of Billings; brothers, John Habeger of Billings and Dick Habeger of Havre; sisters, Mary Jane Morgan of Merritt Island, Fla., Carolyn Marquardt and Laura Lee Frederick of Havre; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
