NANCY MCCRACKEN, Obituary

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. Nancy (Kvande) McCracken, 55, of Port Orchard, Wash., died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, in a motorcycle accident near Broadus.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard.

Nancy was born to Trig and Tracy Kvande on Dec. 19, 1946, in Tacoma Park, Md. When she was a young girl she moved with her family to Havre where her father established Trigs Electric Supply. Nancy attended schools in Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1965. Nancy was very active in Girl Scouts all of her school years.

After high school, Nancy moved to Port Orchard to work. There she met Jack McCracken. The couple were married on Jan, 31, 1967, in Havre at the First Lutheran Church. They made their home in Port Orchard and had two children, Jeanne and Julie.

Nancy was very active in church. She sang in the church choir and taught Bible study. Her hobbies were motorcycle riding, camping, and decorating her home. Nancy was a very dedicated grandmother, spending many hours supporting her grandchildren's activities.

Nancy was preceded in death by her sister Joyce.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jack (Mac) McCracken; daughters, Jeanne (Allen) Cudahy and Julie (Jake) Jefferson, all of Port Orchard, Wash .; parents, Trig and Tracy Kvande of Polson; sisters, Sally (Dave) Chvilicek of Havre and Paddy (Barry) Damschen of Helena; brother, Duane Kvande of Longview, Wash .; three grandsons and a granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
