JOAN BRADLEY, Obitaury

HAYS Joan A. Bradley, "Singing Pipe," 67, died of natural causes at her home in Hays on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002.

Rosary will be held today at 7 p.m. in St. Paul's Mission Catholic Church. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in the Star Hill Family Cemetery.

Joan was born to George and Mabel Bradley on Nov. 14, 1934, at Fort Belknap Agency. She attended Flandreau Indian Boarding School and graduated from St. Paul's Mission High School in 1952.

Joan married Edger Shambo in 1957 in Chinook. Edger died in 1962.

Joan enjoyed traveling to events like Crow Fair, spending time with her grandchildren, and listening to country music.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edger Shambo; brothers, Vernon, Herbert, Joseph and George; sisters, Elizabeth and Margaret.

Survivors include her children, Gary (Santa) of Fort Belknap, Cory (Tab), Daralyn (Bill), Darlene and Karen (Wayne) of Hays, Darrell (Carol) of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Rita Bradley of Fort Belknap, Myrna Spotted Bear of Pryor; brothers, Alfred Bradley of Lodge Pole, Willie Bradley of Hays, Vernon Hawley of Park City and Gilbert (Vickie) Bradley of Browning; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren;

Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements.
