LARRY NOLAND, Obituary

HAYS-Larry E. Noland, 52, a certified paralegal, paralyzed since 1973 from a car accident, died peacefully Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at his daughter's residence at Hays.

Wake was 7 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Mission Recreation Center in Hays. Memorial Mass was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at St. Paul's Mission in Hays.

Larry was born March 15, 1950, to Clifford and Helen (Otto) Noland in Park Rapids, Minn. He attended school at Brookings, S.D., and at Wabash High School. He later went back to school and became a certified paralegal. He helped out many of his friends with this service.

He was a Golden Glove boxer. He also enjoyed fishing, even if he didn't catch anything, and always enjoyed a good day out beside a lake or river somewhere.

He loved the beauty of Montana. When he was back home in Indiana, he talked about his love for Montana. He always had a story to tell about Montana to anyone. When he recently returned to Montana, he said he was home now.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Otto) Noland, two sisters, and a grandchild.

Survivors include his father, Clifford Noland Sr. of Lafayette, Ind.; brothers, Cliff Noland Jr. of Peru, Ind., Chuck Noland of Marion, Ind., Dennis Noland of Lafayette, Ind., and Billie Joe (Linda) Noland of Kokomo, Ind.; sisters, Linda (Ted) Dill of Wabash, Ind., and Dolores Noland of Grand Forks, N.D.; children, Jon (Alicia) Campbell of Ronana, Ind., Dawn (Robert) Schrock of Wabash, Ind., Shawn (Ray) Harper, Oklahoma City, Okla., Marcy (Gilbert) Bradley of Hays, Toby (Shelly) Vautaw of Wabash, Ind., Connie (Kent) Goose Tree of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dana (William) Post of Oklahoma City, Okla., Misti (Frank) Noland-Weigum of Huntly, Delilia Noland of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a very special adopted son, Pat Schrock of Hays; 25 grandchildren; and special friends, Danny Christenson, Chrissy Longknife and Ursula Longfox.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Adams Funeral Home and HiLine Crematory of Malta.
