Schooling for adults to begin

Havre Public Schools' Adult Learning Center will open for the new school year on Tuesday.

The program is for adults who would like to prepare for the GED or who wish to improve their basic academic skills in order to enter the work force or go to college. The learning center staff also helps those studying for the driver's license test or the armed services entrance exam and assists people interested in obtaining U.S. citizenship.

All teaching is individualized. Instruction and materials are provided free of charge, and some materials may be checked out for home study.

The center is on the second floor of the Robins administration building across from the Dairy Queen on Fifth Avenue. The hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. The center also has evening hours on Wednesdays from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Students may enroll at any time during the school year. For more information, call 265-4356, Ext. 333.
