Fair encourages careers in construction

The north-central Montana RC&D, National Association of Women in Construction, Montana Contractors Association and the Women's Foundation of Montana are sponsoring the second annual Construction Technology Career Fair and Rodeo in Conrad on Oct. 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The fair will be held at Norley Hall on the north side of Conrad. The program also encourages girls and Native Americans to participate in nontraditional career paths in the construction industry. The construction industry needs skilled labor, engineers, electricians, steel fabricators, construction managers, and others, covering all sectors of the industry.

Funding for the Career Fair and Rodeo is being provided by the RC&D, through a grant from the Women's Foundation of Montana, to help pay for Career Fair travel costs associated with students, teachers and school board representatives.

Call the north-central Montana RC&D for more information on travel expenses covered, registration forms, and other details at (406) 434-9161, or Ext. 122 to leave a message.
