GORDON NAYLOR, Obituary

FARGO, N.D. Gordon K. Naylor Jr., 74, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, at a nursing home in Fargo, N.D.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church in Fargo. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fargo.

Gordon was born on July 7, 1928, to Gordon Sr. and Leona (Syler) Naylor at Jamestown, N.D. He attended grade school in Fargo and later moved to Havre, where he graduated from high school.

Gordon worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Idaho, then began his career with the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1947.

Gordon was united in marriage to Harriet Barr on June 25, 1955, in Chicago. They made their home in Fargo until moving to Spokane, Wash., and later to Missoula. In 1969, they moved back to Fargo. Gordon retired from the railroad after 43 years of service.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Harriet of Fargo; children, Kathleen Naylor (Jay) Nelson, Clifford (Monica Hannan) Naylor, James J. (Nancy) Naylor, David (Sally) Naylor, Kenneth (Tina) Naylor, all of Fargo, and Mary Ann Naylor of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Nancy (Al) Monson of Fargo and Betty (Dean) Nelson of Bozeman; and 16 grandchildren.

Boulger Funeral Home of Fargo is handling arrangements.
