Legionnaires meet in Malta

About 60 Legionnaires and members of the Auxiliary are expected to attend the Spring meeting of District No. 2 on Sept. 29 in Malta.

Malta Commander Ernest Becker said there are about 500 Legionnaires in District No. 2. The Posts are located in Havre, Rocky Boy, Chinook, Big Sandy, Malta, Hogeland, Saco, Chester, Turner and Harlem.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at the Vets Club in Malta. The adjutants, commanders and membership workshops will be held beginning at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., the veterans' benefits workshop will begin.

A joint banquet will begin at noon with department Vice Commander Bob Beals of Forsyth as guest speaker.

The business meetings will begin at 1:30 p.m. with District Commander George Rice of Big Sandy conducting the Legion meeting. District President Gay Matter of Hogeland will conduct the Auxiliary meeting.
