Northern offers weekend masters degree program

Earning a graduate degree in education will be more convenient through a new weekend master's degree program at Montana State University-Northern.

"This quality, 36-credit-hour program is designed to assist education professionals by focusing on the discipline of learning and its applications," said associated professor Curtis Smeby.

The program will bring together up to 30 students for classes.

They will take classes three weekends per course, including Friday evenings and Saturdays, including summers. Two courses are taken per semester.

Courses will start Oct. 4, allowing participants to graduate in the summer of 2004.

Costs, including tuition, fees, textbooks, software and instructional materials are about $1,360 per semester.

Those wanting more information can contact the MSU-N graduate office at 265-3738 or e-mail Bob Kurtz at [email protected] or Smeby at [email protected].
