DAVID WILMES, Obituary

GREAT FALLS David M. Wilmes, 93, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at a Great Falls convalescent center of natural causes.

At his request, a private family gathering will be held at Schnider Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Friday.

Wilmes was born Aug. 4, 1909, at Inverness.

In 1928, he married Lucille Kossel. She died in 1988.

Dave engaged in several enterprises through the years, including owning and managing a bar in Inverness, the Pepsi Cola Bottling Plant in Great Falls, and a night club in Kalispell. In the early 1950s, he began farming north of Havre and continued until his retirement.

Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially goose hunting.

Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, and his sons, Donald and Stanley.

Survivors include his daughter, Lorraine Watson of Sun City, Ariz.; and son, Joe Wilmes of Joplin; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
