FLOREINE TIETZ, Obituary

HARLEM Floreine Tietz, 65, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at a Renton, Wash., medical center due to cancer.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the American Lutheran Church.

Alice Floreine was born on May 18, 1937, in Opheim to Elmer and Tressa (Schlepp) Johnson. She attended school in Opheim and graduated from Harlem High School. She attended beauty school in Missoula.

Floreine married Norman Tietz, and they later divorced.

She loved doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and was an avid Seattle Mariners fan.

Floreine was a self-employed housekeeper in the Seattle area until just recently, due to her failing health.

Floreine is survived by her son, Kirk (Sarah) Tietz of Brainerd, Minn.; daughter, Lynndell (Loren) Cox of Pacific, Wash.; brother, Charlie (Lucy) Johnson of Santa Barbara, Calif.; sisters, Shirley (Alan) Pearson of Big Sandy and Audrey (Tom) Parnell of Harlem; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
