JEAN ROHLF, Obituary

SHELBY Jean August Lyle Rohlf, 36, of Shelby died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, in an auto accident on Interstate 15 north of Shelby.

A vigil service will be held 7 p.m. Friday at St. William Catholic Church in Shelby. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be take place in Laporte, Minn., on family land.

Jean was born July 19, 1966, in Bemidji, Minn., to Charles and Virginia (Thomas) Rohlf. He graduated from Havre High School and lived and worked in Vancouver, Wash., after his graduation. In the summer of 2001, he moved back to Montana to be near his parents and help them on the farm. He was currently employed with Border Bulk Service in Sweet Grass.

His one greatest concern was the care and well being of his three sons. He was busy making plans to purchase a new home in the area so he could remain close to his family.

He enjoyed darts and played regularly with his friends. His most often used quote was, "Don't worry, Mom, we all have to die sometime."

Jean is survived by three sons, Josh, Justin and Nickolis Rohlf, all of Shelby; his parents, Charles and Virginia Rohlf of Oilmont; brothers, Chuck (Jackie) Rohlf and Trent Rohlf of Shelby, and Jesse (Erin) Rohlf of Kevin; sisters, Marillen Walls of Shelby, Earlla Nelson of Great Falls and Martha Arlt of Fenton, Mich .; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
