Fort Belknap Arliss Lee Stiffarm, 59, Indian name No-nee-Ta meaning "Warrior," died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at a Havre hospital due to natural causes.
Wake services will be today at 7 p.m. in the Red Whip Center. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11 a.m. with burial following in the Old Stiffarm Family Cemetery at Hays.
Arliss was born at the Fort Belknap Agency to Ignatius and Florence (Skinner) Stiffarm on Nov. 24, 1942. He attended school and graduated from Haskell Institute at Lawrence, Kan., and also attended drafting school in Billings.
