RONALD BRANDON, Obituary

Ronald Leroy Brandon, 64, a retired independent contractor, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at a Havre hospital of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for family and friends is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Vets Club in Havre.

Ronald was born May 28, 1938, to Ray and Ruth (Thompson) Brandon in Chinook. He attended Chinook Elementary School and graduated from Chinook High School. Upon completion of high school he enlisted in the Army and served in Germany and the United States. He also served in the Army National Guard of Montana.

During his adult life, he traveled and worked in places as the Grand Coulee Dam and others. He painted water towers and other maintenance jobs before starting his own business and becoming a contractor.

Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, leatherwork, woodwork and visiting with friends. He was a member of the NRA, Elks, American Legion and the Eagles.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Ray Brandon; daughter, Sheila Brandon; and grandson, Thomas Brandon Jr.

Ron is survived by his mother, Ruth Brandon of Havre; sons, Michael (Bobbie) Brandon of Great Falls and Thomas (Judy) Brandon of Big Timber; brothers, Jack (Delores) Brandon, Bob (Linda) Brandon, and Mike (Shelley) Brandon, all of Havre; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
