GEORGIA STREMCHA, Obituary

HELENA Georgia Marie Stremcha, 60, of Helena died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at a Helena hospital from respiratory failure.

A memorial service will be held at a 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Helena.

Georgia was born July 13, 1942, in Havre to George and Leona (Jensen) Larson.

On July 16, 1960, she married Edward A. Stremcha in Havre.

Georgia completed a two-year program and earned her licensed practical nursing degree. She worked for the Alaska Department of Transportation and also owned her own infant day care, where she cared for infants to the age of 2.

Georgia was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, where she volunteered and was a member of the Rebecca Circle and the prayer chain. She also volunteered at the Florence Crittendon Home.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother-in-law.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Stremcha of Helena; children, Julie O'Brien of Anchorage, Alaska, Laurie Barrett of Havre, and Kathy Stremcha of Helena; mother, Leona Larson; mother-in-law; sister, Shirley Neubauer; six grandchildren; and aunts, nieces and cousins.

Retz Funeral Home is assisting with care of arrangements.
