KATHERINE DYNNESON, Obituary

Katherine "Trina" Dynneson, 97, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at a Havre care center of natural causes.

Her memorial service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church. Luncheon is to follow the memorial service at the First Lutheran

Church in Havre. Another service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pella Lutheran Church in Sidney. Cremation has taken place.

Trina was born Oct. 14, 1904, to Andrew and Marie (Johanasen) Anderson at Campbell, Minn. Her family moved to the Brorson Community west of Sidney to homestead. She attended the Brorson School and the Brorson Lutheran Church.

After completing school, she worked at the Sidney Hospital until she married Dennis L. Dynneson on Dec. 4, 1930, at Sidney. To this union, two children were born. They farmed in the Brorson Community until 1962, when they retired and moved into Sidney. Dennis passed away Nov. 13, 1965, of cancer.

Trina moved to Havre in September 1992. She lived on her own until entering Northern Montana Hospital on Aug. 6. She moved to the Northern Montana Care Center in Havre on Aug. 26.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Havre.

She made many afghans and quilts for her family. She enjoyed quilting with the quilt guild at the church. She played cards nearly every evening with her friends and family until she entered the hospital. She kept her good sense of humor until the very end.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Marie (Johanasen) Anderson; husband, Dennis L. Dynneson on Nov. 13, 1965; infant son, Paul; sisters, Hanna Aos, Etta Thorgersen and Clara Svarre; brothers, Hans, Lauritz, Fred and Alfred Anderson; and son-in-law, Warren Warp.

She is survived by her daughter, Donnabelle (Don) Johnsrud of Havre; son, Sherman (Marlys) Dynneson of Sidney; grandchildren, Douglas (Jane) Warp, pastors Mark and Beth Warpmaeker, Keith (Tammy) Dynneson, Renee (Lee) Troudt, Dennis (Suzanne) Dynneson; 11 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; seven great-stepgrandchildren.

Memorials in Katherine's honor may be made to the First Lutheran Church Video Fund, 303 Sixth Ave., Havre, MT 59501, The Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp, the First Lutheran Church, 303 Sixth Ave., Havre, MT 59501, or a person's choice.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home in Havre.
