Ethel M. Christiansen, 87, longtime resident of Havre died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at her home of natural causes.

Funeral services were Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Alfred Ebel officiating. Burial was to follow at Highland Cemetery.

Ethel was born Nov. 26, 1914, in Havre to Ben and Goldie (Heeter) Donald. Ethel was raised and educated in Havre.

She married Lafe J. Christiansen Nov. 26, 1932, in Havre. They had one son, Donald L. Christiansen.

Ethel enjoyed going for drives in the Bear Paw Mountains. Ethel did beautiful needlework and embroidery. She loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lafe Christiansen on Oct. 13, 1993; sister, Estella Lawlor.

Survivors include her son Donald (Juanita) Christiansen of Havre; grandchildren, Karen (John) Larson, Marion (Dan) Schaub, Dawn (Dave) Arensmeyer, Cheri (Mick) Linderman, Ben Christiansen, Kevin Christiansen; sisters, Edith Christianson and Evelyn Beck; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials in Ethel's honor may be made to a memorial of one's choice.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
