VINCENT SHORT, Obituary

BILLINGS/FORT BELKNAP Vincent Douglas Short, 31, a worker at Western Sugar, died Friday at a Billings hospital following an automobile accident.

Wake, rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Red Whip Community Center at Fort Belknap. Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Red Whip Community Center with burial in the Hi-Way Church Cemetery.

Vincent was born Sept. 2, 1971, in Sacramento, Calif., the son of Robert and Linda (Blackbird) Short. He was raised and educated at Fort Belknap, Great Falls and Billings.

Vincent married Carisa Banda on Oct. 18, 1998, in Billings. They made their home in Billings where he worked for Western Sugar for the past number of years. Vincent also worked at Pasta Montana and as a Bureau of Indian Affairs firefighter. He enjoyed the outdoors and his family, especially his children.

Survivors include his wife, Carisa Short of Billings; father, Robert (Debra) Short of Billings; mother, Linda "Sugar" Short of Fort Belknap; children, Vincent Douglas Jr. and Jamie Lynn Short of Arkansas, Robert Diego and Cecelia Rose Short of Billings; stepchildren, Justina, Melissa, Arthur, Patricia and Antonia Banda of Billings; sister, Amber Short of Billings; brother, Robert Blackbird of Nevada; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
