MARGARET REBER, Obituary

LUDINGTON, Mich. Margaret Maxine Reber, 84, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at the Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington, Mich., of natural causes.

Formal viewing will be held Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Vertin Funeral Home in Brecken-ridge, Minn. Funeral Service will

be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Foxhome Lutheran Church in Foxhome, Minn., with Pastor Paul Schoitz officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fergus Falls, Minn. A fellowship luncheon will follow the committal rite at the Fox Home Lutheran Church.

Maxine was born Feb. 6, 1918, to Charles and Margaret (Nitter) Wheeler in Breckenridge, Minn. She was raised in Minnesota on the family farm.

She married Theodore "Ted" Reber on June 1, 1936, in Minnesota. The couple farmed in Andrea Township for over 45 years. They had two children, Ted Reber of Havre and Maxine Aarestad of Delafield, Wis.

Maxine was quite an organizer and kept very busy with her various committees that she served on. She was an accomplished artist in oil painting and in figurines. She was instrumental in the creation of the Andrea Township Homemakers Club, she enjoyed visiting with people and was always up on the current happenings. She enjoyed playing cards and board games.

Maxine moved to Havre in 1995 to be near family. She lived at the Eagles Manor in Havre where she had many friends and enjoyed them all. During the winter Maxine would travel to Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Theodore "Ted" Reber in 1981, and brother, Bobby Wheeler.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Maxine Aarestad of Delafield, Wis.; son, Teddy (Connie) Reber of Havre; sister, Donna (Jim) Herzog of Maple Grove, Minn.; grandchildren, Laura (Richard) DeRuiter, Tim (LeAnn) Aarestad, Paul (Debbie) Aarestad, Paulette (Craig) Mottl, Brent Reber and Brenda Reber; and eight great-grandchildren.
