DOROTHY REED, Obituary

TURNER Dorothy A. Reed, 67, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at a Billings hospital due to a brain aneurysm.

Vigil services will be 7 p.m. today in the Big Flat Saint Thomas

Catholic Church. Funeral ser-

vices will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Turner High School gymnasium with burial following in the Turner Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on June 26, 1935, in Turner to Christy and Mary (Andrews) Maloney. She graduated

from Malta High School in 1953.

She married James P. Reed on Nov. 4, 1954, in Malta. They moved to Turner in the spring of 1956.

Dorothy's greatest loves were taking care of her family and enjoying her grandchildren. She enjoyed working outdoors and being in her garden.

Dorothy was active in American Legion Auxiliary, the Modern Mrs. Club and the Altar Society of Saint Thomas Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Christy Maloney; sister, Rita Lang; and a granddaughter at birth, Christa Faith Christensen.

Survivors include her husband James "Jim" Reed of Turner; sons, Jim Reed of Miles City, Craig Reed of Great Falls, Dave Reed of Billings and Steve Reed of Turner; daughters, Donna Christensen of Rapid City, S.D., Kris Tiegs of Henderson, Minn.; mother, Mary Maloney Kinder of Havre; sister, Agnes Chase of Butte; brother, Dan Maloney of Loring; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the church or Turner American Legion Auxiliary.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
