NORA VOSEN, Obituary

Nora Elvena Vosen, 87, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, at a Big Sandy care facility of natural causes.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Holland and Bonine Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Chapel in Havre with the Rev. James M. Robinson officiating. The burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship will be held at the Eagles immediately after the committal rite at the cemetery.

Nora was born Jan. 21, 1915 in Bottineau, N.D., to John and Christina (Wittmier) Frey. The family lived north of Gildford until moving south of Kremlin in 1925. Nora attended Sage Creek County School south of Kremlin.

On Aug. 4, 1936, she married Richard George Vosen. He died Nov. 27, 1999. She spent all of her married life on their farm south of Kremlin.

Nora enjoyed all the farm work, the cattle, harvest, gardening, playing cards, dancing, and when she was younger, she enjoyed horseback riding. In later years she enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Kremlin Lutheran Church and the Eagles Club.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard George Vosen; brothers, Edwin Martin Frey and John E. "Jack" Frey; and sister, Loretta Clapper.

She is survived her daughter Lorraine (Ralph) Beck of Havre; son, John (Dianne) Vosen of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; brothers, Ray Frey of Havre, Floyd and Clarence Frey of Harlem, and Dennis Frey of Simms; sisters, Doris Morse and Delores Tudor of Havre; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Nora's honor are suggested to the Kremlin Lutheran Church, Kremlin, MT 59532, the Big Sandy Medical Center, Big Sandy, MT 59520, or to a memorial of one's choice.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
